Yveltal is the other post-game Legendary Pokémon that you can catch in ZA, but it’s easier said than done. Firstly, you need to increase your chances of getting the catch with a Blue Canari Plush – you can also get a green one to reduce your chances of fainting. You can also get some Timer Balls to add to your arsenal, because Yveltal will have done a lot of actions by the time you try to catch it. It’s weak to Fairy and does Dark attacks, so Absol is a good Pokémon to run with. Make sure you Mega Evolve as soon as the fight starts and use its fairy moves to reduce its health. Potion up when needed, and you can also use movement to avoid some of Yveltal’s attacks. When its health is low, use Ultra Balls or Timer Balls to land the catch. Just make sure you don’t beat it entirely, otherwise this will only give you one throw to catch it.

Pokemon Legends Z-A takes place in Lumiose City, which you will have explored previously if you played X and Y. As a result, the environment is limited to city architecture and parks, so there isn’t as much impressive visual diversity as in Legends Arceus. However, you do get more of a sprawling city experience, so it’s going to be interesting to find out how to deliver the various biomes that will be home to the different types of Pokemon. For example, where will the aquatic creatures be found or the arctic creatures. I’ll be answering all of these questions and more in my walkthrough guide series, which will take you from the start of the game to becoming the champion of Lumiose city, just as I have done for previous Pokemon titles throughout the years. There’s a big urban redevelopment plan underway, so maybe we’ll get to see an element of terraforming to bring the biomes to life.
